Hello vintage voyagers!
Welcome to a new message board here on the forum - The Parlour
"What goes on in the Parlour?" You ask.
Well pretty much anything NON-NOSTALGIA related, we say! While The Good Ole Days board is for nostalgia discussions that don't fit into any of the other categories, The Parlour is where nostalgiacs hang out and talk about whatever they want that's not connected to nostalgia. Current affairs... their holidays...announcing their engagement... or new addition to the family...
It's also a great place for newcomers to introduce themselves to the rest of the gang (start a new thread if you wish to do that) or to wish your fellow nostalgiacs a happy birthday, merry Christmas, or happy national Doughnut Day!
Please bear in mind that An Extra Slice of Nostalgia Pie is essentially a family site so please be mindful of the things that you wish to discuss as anything that is not appropriate for this space will have to be removed.
But other than that, enjoy!
A very warm welcome to all our new members. Lovely to have you here. ❤️
Another new member here!
And now I'm the third! Not that we're keeping count or anything of course! 😁 Lovely to be here. I'm also following Nostalgia Pie so I'm very excited to see what this site has to offer.
And I'm the second one here, haha! I'm Melanie and I'm also a follower of Nostalgia Pie but if I'm honest, this site is more my street because even though I was born in the 1970s, I absolutely adore the forties and fifties; baking; pretty china; woodland parks; heritage sites and so on. I absolutely love what Angel has done here and for creating a home for us vintage lovers to gather. I look forward to more content.
I live with my family in the north of England.
Wow it looks like I'm the first one here!
Hello everyone! As you can tell from the name, I am indeed Bette. I live in an English county just outside of London but I'm actually originally from Wales. I'm married with two kids and I spend most of my time working in the great outdoors or arranging pretty flowers so yes, I absolutely love my life! Haha!
Some people might be a life 'half full' kind of person but for me I always see my glass as overflowing! I consider myself to be incredibly lucky and count my blessings, always trying to see the best in every situation and in life. I encourage my kids to do the same. Life is too short to be miserable all the time and there's already enough misery in the world as it is.
I am a follower of Nostalgia Pie so when I heard about this site, it really was a no brainer when it came to following an extra slice as well. As well as vintage style, I'm a huge fan of slow living so here I am!
